Our Village of Volunteers!
Whether you have been to one Project Play event or many, you know that we LOVE to create fun and engaging experiences for the youngest members of our community and their caregivers. In the last year, we have hosted over 25 events: pop-up playspaces at the Farmer’s Market, family dance parties, music for babies & tots classes, children’s clothing swaps and many more. And we have much more in store for 2025! This past winter we hosted indoor Winter Play Days every other weekend. They were a joyful respite from the cold and a great way to let kiddos burn off energy in the long winter months. We are happy to announce that Winter Play Days will return in 2025 and FKO will graciously host us EVERY Sunday 10 AM - 12 PM throughout January, February, and March. Exciting, right?!? As you can imagine, staffing 13 Winter Play Days will take a village - and we would love for you to join ours - our village of volunteers that is! A Play Day Volunteer will arrive 30 minutes early to help set up equipment, stay to play for the duration of the event, and/or help clean up. Volunteers may also greet guests or be the point person for any visiting entertainer. Volunteer’s kids are encouraged to tag along! Even if you can only help with one Sunday, we would love to add you to our database of volunteers so we can help share the joy of hosting these events. You sign up for events when you can - and can opt-out at any time. If you are interested in joining our village of volunteers (for Winter Play Days or any other events we host), please fill out this Google form and Phoebe Boone (Project Play Volunteer Coordinator) will reach out with more details. You can also chat with any of the current founders of Project Play at Adriana’s on 12/7 for our Holiday Hop & Coat Drive. We are happy to answer any questions you have about becoming a Project Play volunteer. We’d love to have you join our forces so we can bring even more awesome programming to our community!
